Q1：How to become Happy Lemon Franchisees?
AFill out the online application form and our representative will contact you via email or phone for further discussion. If qualified, our representative will schedule an interview to go over all the details and you need to provide business proposal.
Q2：Is it still possible to be approved as a new franchisee if I do not have direct experience before?
AExperience of food/beverage is preferred, but not necessary. Management or Business Experience is required if you would like to apply as an Area Developer.
Q3：Where can I receive the following information?
AThe above information is available in our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Before receiving our FDD, you will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement. You will have one month for review prior to signing the agreement.
Q4：Where will training be held? Who should attend the training?
ABefore opening your first store, you and a designated store manager must attend the training program in Taipei/China which will take about 2 weeks. And the second stage of the training, Happy Lemon team will have a senior staff member to assist you to do on-site training to your seeded team for another 2 weeks. Our senior staff will also present to assist you during the grand opening period for up to 4 weeks to ensure smooth store operation. We also offer continuous E-learning classes for our franchisees.
Q5：What is the start-up cost for a new Happy Lemon Store?
AThe estimated initial investment for a new Store can range from $165,000 (per unit) or more. It depends on store size.
Q6：How long is the entire process of becoming a Happy Lemon franchisee?
AThe process includes Applicants Pre-Qualification, Business Plan Review and Approval, Agreement Signing, Training, Location Selection, Construction and Grand Opening. On average, it takes approximately 30-60 days to approve an applicant. The length of time between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening a store is 4 to 8 months.
Q7：Why is the franchise fee different across the world?
AInitial Franchise fees are based on some factors such as population, site size and condition.
Q8：Can I develop a Combination Store with Happy Lemon and another brand?
AA Combination Store will need both brands to have a separate POS system. It is preferred to have a wall or a partition between the two brands.
Q9：What separates Happy Lemon between its competitors?
AWe provide high quality products and service to our customers. Our R&D hub in Taipei develops new menu items every 6 months, our aim is to provide new products to our current as well as attract new customers.
Q10：Is financing available?
AWe do not provide financing however potential franchisees could seek financial support from other 3rd parties.
